It is weird that the new teacher thinks that all the children are to cute to be children. Is she obsessed with monkeys or are they just to cute to be children??? I did not know that monkeys like peanuts. I think that the new teacher Mrs. Jewls is less mean than Ms Gore! Joe is in what grade if he is in a grade that is more educated than kindergarten i think he can count to ten. From hayley

Yeah, why does Mrs. Jewls think all of the children are too cute to be children? There really isn't a reason for that.
Something in my own life that does not have a reason actually is my friend Tamera. My friend likes everyone no matter what. She is nice and is friends with everyone, even if they are mean to her. There is no reason why she is so nice, she just is.
What about you? Do you have anything in your life that doesn't have a reason?

In chapter 16 how could walls laugh and the floors could be ticklish. I think it would b fun to see pencils dance. How could someone be so happy?

What do you think? Is there a reason that D.J. is happy all the time? It would be great to have someone in the same class as me who was always happy. I think they would make the class a much nicer place to be. What do you think?
Hayley I think that the new teacher is nice. But she can be mean to. I love this book it is one of the best books I ever read. And I did not now monkeys like peanuts to Hayley.
I hope everybody is having fun this summer but I hope everybody is reading to.

What fun things have you had the chance to do this summer? It has been a fun one for me being with friends in La Crosse and teaching summer school in Sparta. I have really enjoyed the break!

Actually I think it's a good thing that people will just do things for no reason. Even if they're fairly odd people. Sometimes people need to do things just for the joy of doing them. There doesn't have to be a reason behind it. Wether it's reading,biking,swimming,or dancing I love to just do things for no reason.

You make a very good point. I agree completely that sometimes we have to just do things without a reason to have fun. Life is much more enjoyable that way!
