August 10-16: Read Chapters 8-15

You now know half of the students from the thirtieth floor of Wayside School. Think of something that happened to you at school that relates to the students at Wayside. It can relate to any of the students: Paul knew he would get in trouble for pulling Leslie's hair, Jason was a tattle-tale, Rondi was misunderstood, Maurecia ate so much of her favorite food she got sick of it, or relate to any of the other students.

Hi again,
In chapter 8 being class president in that school must be easy because all you have too do is turn on and off the lights! I mean why is it so easy? I WONDER!!! Well i won't find out by just wondering better get reading. right now i am starting chapter 9. Well everbody i will talk to you later BYE BYE!!!!! Hayley

Hayley you are a blogging queen! Being the class president at Wayside School is really easy isn't it?

Can you relate to any of the kids at Wayside School yet? I can relate to Leslie. When I was in school my friends would always pull my pigtails. Then they would try to explain to the teacher or to me, that my pigtails had TOLD them they wanted to be pulled. I never heard my pigtails asking to be pulled! I wonder how everyone else heard them?

Ms. Neff,
I can also relate to Leslie because this summer i went to a basketball camp and we were playing three on three and a boy pulled all the girls ponytails!!! Also in chapter ten how is the seat in the way back a good seat? You can't hear very well and it could be hard to see from back there, and maybe you would not pass and have to repeat the grade.

Also is't it mean to pull pigtails?? I wonder if it is tempting to pull pigtails. Well i am going to start reading chapter 11!! Hayley

Dear everybody,
It is weird that evrybody in chapter 13 thinks Rondi's front teeth are cute but she does not have any. Also she was not wearing boots either or a rain coat. It is very weird!

Well see you later.

Hayley,
I never liked sitting in the backseat either, due to all of those reasons you gave. It can be hard to learn in the back sometimes. I always liked sitting in the middle or up front as a student.
It is very weird that everyone likes all of the things that Rondi does not say or have. What do you think? Do you think they actually see those things, or are they just picking on her? What do the rest of you think?

Hi everybody,
Maybe they do see thoes things but how they don't have supervishon or anything. In chapter 14 it is very rude of sammy to call her an old windbag!! I wonder if sammy is a spy and maybe that is why he dose not want to take his coat off!

I have to go

Hi again,
In chapter 14 it is weird that Sammy is a rat at the end of chapter 14. Know wonder he smelled so bad, he was a dead rat that's why. Well i am glad that he is gone, because i do not want to have him in our school

Hayley,
Sammy would not be a someone I'd want at my school either, I agree with you on that one! Who wants a smelly, mean rat? He sure makes Wayside School sound a lot stranger though!

Hi everybody,
You know how deedee tricked Mrs.Jewls and she got outside first and got a green ball. Do you know anybody that would be as tricky as DeeDee? Also why would louis not like any of the children? Maybe it was because she out smarted Mrs.Jewls and got that green ball yea for DeeDee!

I wonder what D.J is going to be like.

Hayley,
I'm not sure I've ever known anyone to be as tricky as Deedee. I always tried to be tricky, but somehow the teachers always caught me. What about you? Have you ever known anyone as tricky as Deedee? What did they do that was so tricky?

I think I probaly relate to Paul the most. Sometimes things are just so tempting you just can't stop yourself from doing them! Even though, most of the time you know that your going to get yourself into trouble. [Every once in a while I hear voices in my head to] talk to you soon!!

Ellie,
I'm glad to see you can relate to a character in the book! There are definitely times when it is almost impossible to say no to doing what you know is wrong. You are right though, you know you are going to get into trouble! Nice job connecting yourself to a character in our book!

In chapter 9 Maurecia loved ice cream but she got tired of all the flavors so, Mrs.jewls's made new ice cream.
In first grade I used to hate math because I had never done it before, then I did a math book and after that I loved math.

Blake,
The connection you found between you and Maurecia is excellent! Isn't it great when someone shows you how to love something new? People just like your teacher show us great new things, and keep life exciting and fun!
