Now that you have read the first chapters of Sideways Stories from Wayside School you can probably tell that it is very different from the other two books that we have read this summer. Many of the stories sound impossible, similar to the tall tales we learned about in 4th grade. Pick one crazy story that you have read so far and explain why it could not happen in real life.

It is really weird how sharie was sleeping so much and the teacher Mrs. Jewls did not mind and when Sharie fell out of the window i can not belive that she was still sleeping. When Todd caught Sharie she acted so mean and then went back to sleep.

I am so excited that you have joined our blog! That was a crazy story! I agree with you, I couldn't believe that Sharie fell out of the window and kept sleeping! I also agree that her teacher probably would not be happy with her sleeping in class. We like having you awake. : ) I also thought that Sharie would have thanked Louis for catching her, not yelled at him.
I think the craziest story so far is the one about mz.Gorf. It's so funny what authors can come up with to get readers attention. Well, mz.Gorf is long gone for now...or is she?

I have read this book before it is such a good book even though you have read this before it is a great book to read. It is so funny i like to laugh out loud because it is so funny. Usually i like scary books but i love this book, as some peopleknow that i love funny things and this book is awesome. I just finished chapter 7 and i am excited to read. Hayley

I agree, it is a bit crazy that Mrs. Gorf can turn the kids into apples. Can you imagine what school would be like if that could actually happen? I think I would be home schooled.
Did any of you notice what Mrs. Gorf's name spells when you spell it backwards?
Nobody can turn people into apples because it is impossible to be a person and then the next second, you're an apple.
How can Bebe draw 50 cats, 100 flowers, 20 dogs and several watermalens in an hour that is crazy. Then the art teacher says that it is not about how many you draw and she leaves. Bebe goes outside and luces says ''whear are you going?'' Bebe says ''home to go draw a pictrew of a cat and luces says ''are you going to be done tomareow?'' Bebe says''all jest finish the wiscer.''
I think Sharie's story was the weirdest of them so far because fisrt of all mrs Jewl lets her fall asleep. Second of all she fell out the window and never woke until the middle of the school and didn't nowhere she was and fell back asleep. That seems really impossible to me.

hey sierra great to hear from you. I agree with you that sharie's story is weird. I mean she fell asleep fell out of the window, and she woke up and saw were she was and fell asleep again! Also when Louis caught her she got mad at him.

I agree with what both of you are saying. What I want to know is how did Sharie not get hurt when she fell? I mean think about it! She fell from thirty floors up! I thought that was crazy!

You're right, turning into an apple is impossible. Can you imagine what school would be like if you could be turned into an apple though? I wonder how many of us would have been turned into apples by now?
